Welcome to Charleston

A House in America LLC presents selected beach houses, city apartments and condominiums in the Charleston area. Charleston and the neighboring beach islands in the South Carolina lowcountry are a major American holiday destination, offering southern hospitality, a wonderful climate and splendid beaches.

We've got it all!

Have you ever been to Florida? Liked it? Loved it? Well... we've got it all: the beaches, the beautiful girls, the waves, the wetlands. There's just a couple of things we don't have: We don't have as many hurricanes, we don't have the crime, we don't have as many New Yorkers and we don't have Disney World or Kennedy Space Center. But they're close enough if your're desperate.
We even have mountains...

What we do have is an easy pace, fantastic food (you really have to try our rock shrimp) and the most polite people in America. Really, for the past ten years Charleston was elected 'most polite city' of the United States. We don't even use our horns in Charleston! When you come over, you'll immediately understand why. Charleston is the only city in the South that still has most of its original 18th and 19th Century colonial buildings. Some Americans say that Charleston is a 'European' city, but they're wrong. Charleston is old, but is has a very unique and typically American atmosphere. I love it.

And there's more. South Carolina is not just coast. We also have splendid national forests, rivers and mountains. You don't even have to drive all that far to reach them.

To give you an idea, I've collected a couple of cool videos from YouTube. Take a look at some of them and I'm sure you'll go head over heels. The first one shows some some Charleston street scenes:
